The Ikarus C42B is an excellent training aircraft. It is very stable and has excellent slow handling characteristics. It is probably the UK’s most popular microlight training aircraft because of this. Ours have a 4-stroke Rotax 912  aero engines which produces 80/100hp. Combining this power with the aircraft’s light weight, we get great performance!

We use the C42s for the majority of our flying training as well as for trial flights.

The aircraft has a Ballistic Recovery System which means that it has a built in parachute in case we need it – a reassuring backup to have just in case.

This year, the C42s have done trips to various parts of the UK, including Lydd and the Isle of Wight. Along with the CTSW, they have also completed several trips to France this summer!by
